Hello! We know that MANY of you are terrified about these news, and were when we first announced it... bare with us, this is not fun for neihter part...
We are closing the Old Wild today due to "chunk errors", a problem that grows like an infection and corrupts large areas of the old wild, covering factionbases & many players homes.
Let me explain the chunk error problem;
Here below you will see an image, to the left I am standing in minecraft on natural minecraft land in the "/warp wild" world. To the right I am on the edge of a corrupted chunk in the old "wild world".
Profile (1) shows that it's 100% fine to be there, no issues and the game runs all fancy and dandy.
Profile (2) is in contact with a corrupted chunk, this will cause the player to get kicked/time out. After timing out the player is now what we call "frozen", they can log on, but whe they try this message appears in their client as they time out from the server:
If you see this issue when connecting to PJ then you are stuck in a chunk... Only the Owners can TP you to them during the brief 0.5 second time gap they have when you log on with the command "/tp [full player ign.] [player to be tp'd to]":
This issue makes it so many players currently try to log on, get timed out, and can't play at all. For the sake of you all we therefor close the old wild which equals the following;
Any player in the old wild, wether stuck in a chunk or not will spawn at their camp-spawn. to get to the new wild simply type /warp wild <-- it's moved to a new world. We apologize deeply for any items lost in the process, players have had a week to fetch stuff & resoruces from their old places. See this as a "NEW START" on your wild-world-adventures, but don't worry, we will be hosting some drop-party's for the poor ahead with starting materials & such to get you back on track as the Olympus raid is about to open!
The video above was reuploaded to take you back in time to 2013. The Realm of Percy Jackson was first made to provide a couple of friends a place to mess around on. So where we are today is something that we had never thought of back then. Watching the players enjoy our content inspired us to push our limits, try out new things and constantly find ways to improve and give them the best experience possible
July 25th marks the anniversary of The Realm of Percy Jackson. The server was released for the public in July 25th, 2013 and where we stand right now is something that we have never expected. It's been a great ride and I'd like to thank every single staff and member of the community who's made it to what it is today. 2 Years have flown by so quickly. We are constantly developing and improving the server but there's one thing that has never changed. That's the spirit of our community. The players here are so friendly and welcoming that it is often described to be one big family. I cannot thank you guys enough and I am so grateful for all the support that you guys have given to the community.
We've come this far, there will be no backing down. I don't know what the future holds but speaking behalf the staff team of Wizry, we can only promise you all that we will do our best.
We will be bringing back PVP Games such as Capture The Flag, Team Death Matches etc.
Players can now inspect your items without you having to hand over the item. Hold an item and type #hand into chat. The name of the item will replace "#hand" and to view the attributes of the item, hover your cursor over it. This will be useful for many different things like: If you're in a trade, you can be certain if the player is trying to scam you or not as you will see exactly what the item is. On the other hand, play a game of trading cards! Kris has decided to start up a little venture in his faction home, distributing Pokemon cards. The possibilities are endless.
Our new premium plugin has just been added to The Realm of Percy Jackson. The plugin changes the visuals of dropped items. Dropped items will now appear in 3D and have text above it, displaying the name of the item.
"resolve hostename" means that the server may be down for a few min for maintainance, usually it may just be a quick reboot If you find more issues regarding hostname resolve check your internetconfiguration as downtime is in our responsibility.
